Skin Rejuvenation & Resurfacing
What is Skin Rejuvenation?
Skin rejuvenation is a laser treatment that makes your face look younger by removing age spots, diffuse redness, and by improving your skin texture. Uneven pigmentation is also reduced.

What is Picoway/Resolve?
Picoway is an advanced laser solution for benign pigmentation such as freckles and age spots. This breakthrough technology uses ultra-short picosecond (trillionths of a second) pulses to break down the pigment into the smallest particles. Resolve uses holographic diffractive beam-splitter technology to create a two dimensional array of LIOBs (Laser Induced Optical Breakdown). The LIOBs can be focused in the epidermis, using the 532nm wavelength, or in the upper papillary dermis, using the 1064nm wavelength. The Picoway/Resolve laser emits less heat energy than traditional lasers providing a more comfortable treatment.
What conditions can be treated with Picoway?
- Pigmented Lesions
- Skin Irregularities
- Signs of Aging
Picoway can also treat multi-colored tattoos (view our tattoo section).
What is Broadband Light (BBL/Photofacial)?
BBL treatments also known as an IPL is a great way to turn back the clock on your skin for a visibly younger appearance.
BBL Broadband Light technology utilizes the power of pulsed light to deliver excellent phototherapy results. By selecting the appropriate wavelength or filter, the physician will be able to treat a broad range of skin conditions caused by skin aging and sun exposure. The light energy delivered by the BBL gently heats the upper layers of the skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas coagulates tissue to variable depth. This process helps restore the skin to its natural state. In addition, the photothermal energy targets and eliminates many of the fine vessels that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions.
What conditions can be treated with Broadband Light?
- Sun spots/age spots
- Facial vessels
- Diffused redness
What is MicroLaserPeel?
A MicroLaserPeel removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. The procedure is performed in your physician’s office and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.
How does MicroLaserPeel work?
The MicroLaserPeel’s beam is scanned over a treatment area to remove a very thin layer of the skin. Removing the top layer eliminates some of the damaged cells that can give skin a tired, aged look. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved color evenness. Patients often say that it looks like their skin went from looking tired to vibrant.
What conditions can be treated with MicroLaserPeel?
- Fine lines
- Superficial scars
- Sun damage
- Pigment irregularities
What is ProFractional?
ProFractional Therapy is a quick and comfortable laser procedure with little downtime, used for improving the overall appearance of your skin. The procedure is performed in our spa and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.
How does ProFractional work?
ProFractional uses a tiny laser beam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin. Because only a fraction of your skin is directly treated with the laser, the surrounding untreated tissue promotes rapid healing. This skin’s wound healing response creates new collagen which add firmness and resilience to the skin.
What conditions can be treated?
- Fine lines
- Surgical scars
- Wound scars
- Acne scars
ProFractional works very well as a stand-alone procedure or in combination with other treatments. Some examples of combination therapies include:
MicroLaserPeel™ + ProFractional - Start with Sciton’s MicroLaserPeel for full field treatment to remove superficial irregularities followed by ProFractional to stimulate collagen remodeling through deep fractional ablation.
BBL™ + ProFractional - Start with Sciton’s BBL for full field treatment to remove pigmented lesions followed by ProFractional.
Please note, a complimentary consultation is required prior to scheduling any treatments with one of our trained licensed aestheticians. The consultation will include a skin evaluation to determine the best treatment option to achieve desired results.
